^aBHK-21, COS7, αTC1.6, and βTC3 cells were transfected with a reporter plasmid (pFOXluc.prl.5FF1) containing five copies of the insulin E2A3/4 minienhancer linked to the minimal prolactin promoter driving luciferase gene expression and with expression plasmids containing the CMV promoter driving expression of the cDNAs shown. The data show luciferase activity in the cells transfected with Lmx1.1 relative to activity in the PDX-1-transfected cells.
