The activity of AT-281 was measured in infected cells using assays previously described (see Materials and Methods and reference 15) to determine the effective concentration required to inhibit viral replication 50% (EC50) and the threshold concentration required to obtain a perceptible effect on 50% of the cells incubated without virus (CC50).
