Shown are microscopic images (obtained using a 20x objective of a Nikon Eclipse 80i microscope equipped with a DS-U1 camera) of non-infected cells (NI), cells infected with WT or the ∆Y mutant at an MOI of 20. Bacteria were removed 3h post-infection and processed as detailed in Materials and Methods. The experiment was performed two times and the representative images are shown.
