Neutralization of TLR2 and TLR4 interferes with oxidative burst in CL monocytes. Peripheral blood monocytes from CL patients (n = 10) were treated with anti-TLR2 and anti-TLR4 antibodies, infected with L. braziliensis (5:1) for 25 minutes. Cells were labeled with anti-CD14 antibody for monocyte characterization. Respiratory burst was measured via DHR123 oxidation by flow cytometry. PMA was used as a positive control (A).
