The question mark represents the unknown structure of irreversible rundown state. Note that both schemes are overly simplified as multiple open states with different configurations of the NBDs (Jih & Hwang, 2012) are not included. Possible direct transitions between CR and other open state(s) are also omitted due to lack of supporting structural evidence.
