Percentages were calculated by dividing the total number of patients with at least one prescription for each medication class in the year following first generalised anxiety recording by the number of initial generalised anxiety recordings for that year. The left panel shows percentages for patients with no generalised anxiety prescription in the year before general practitioner recording, and the right panel shows the percentages for all incident generalised anxiety cases regardless of prescriptions in the year before first recording.
