Data are presented as the mean ± SD and were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance. ALS: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; HbA1c: hemoglobin A1c; HCT: hematocrit; MCH: mean corpuscular hemoglobin; MCV: mean corpuscular volume; NLR: neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio; NMR: neutrophil-to-monocyte ratio; RBC: red blood cell; RDW: red blood cell distribution; WBC: white blood cell. From the Department of Laboratory Medicine in the West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the reference ranges are 40–75% for neutrophils, 20–50% for lymphocytes, and 3–10% for monocytes in healthy controls.
