6S Method BEFAST Method
Sudden – sudden onset of symptoms Balance – loss of balance/dizziness
Slurred Speech Eyes – disturbance of vision (uni/bilateral)
Side Weak – face, arm, leg Face – facial droop
Spinning – vertigo Arm – weakness
Severe Headache Speech Test - slurred
Seconds – note the time of symptom onset and rush to the hospital
