18 years of age and older, acute ischaemic stroke treated with 0.9 mg/kg IV rt‐PA within 3 hours of stroke onset or time last known well, NIHSS score ≥ 6 prior to IV rt‐PA, able to receive assigned study drug within 60 minutes of initiation of IV rt‐PA

Argatroban: 100 µg/kg bolus followed by 3 µg/kg per minute for 12 hours
Eptifibatide: 135 µg/kg bolus followed by 0.75 µg/kg per minute infusion for 2 hours
Control: placebo |
