Levels of CMV-IgM were significantly increased in new-onset IIM patients compared with healthy control groups as was the percentage of CMV-IgM⁺ and recent CMV infection.

The normal reference of quantitative CMV-IgM, CMV-IgG is 0–22, and 0–14 U/mL, respectively.
