Wild-type (HSP104) and hsp104Δ yeast were transformed with plasmids engineered for the expression of (A) SZ*, (B) NBD2* (C) Chimera N*, and (D) Ste6p*. A cycloheximide chase analysis was performed following a 30 min temperature shift to 37°C. Data represent the means ± S.E., n = 3–7.
