Overall change in food purchase (left) and food waste generated (right) perceived by respondents during COVID-19. Changes in food purchasing and food waste were strongly interdependent (χ2 = 58.08, df =16, p <0.001) and also indicate that food purchasing behavior was more elastic in response to the pandemic than food waste generation.
