The generation and delivery of miRNAs in circulation during STEMI. In response to myocardial infarction, impaired cardiomyocytes release circulating miRNAs via protein complexes, microvesicles, exosomes, apoptotic bodies, and/or by mesenchymal stem cells, and then are either upregulated or downregulated.
