(A) An overview of published research articles in the field of tissue metabolomics from January 2002 until May 2021 (*) based on a PubMed search with the terms “tissue metabolomics.” Only original research articles were reported (excluding comprehensive reviews, book chapters, commentaries, conference abstracts) based on mammalian species (blue).
