Changes in the postsynaptic localisation of GIRK2 in the hippocampus of P301S mice. (A–D) In wild type mice, immunoparticles for GIRK2 were mostly located at the extrasynaptic membrane (arrows) of dendritic spines (s) and shafts (Den) of CA1 pyramidal cells, as well as at intracellular sites (crossed arrows). In P301S mice, fewer immunoparticles for GIRK2 were detected along the extrasynaptic membrane (arrows) of dendritic spines (s) and shafts (Den) of pyramidal cells, with more GIRK2 immunoparticles being observed at intracellular sites (crossed arrows).
