Confocal microscopic images of Hoechst-stained nuclei of cells treated with BNPs and X-rays. KB cells were irradiated with 4Gy X-rays and positive control H₂O₂ used was 50μM/mL. After 24 h, the cells were fixed and stained with Hoechst. Imaging of nuclei was done at magnification of 20X and 60X lens. Arrows: apoptosis; boxes: mitotic catastrophe. Scale bar = 60 μm.
