Customized cell chambers for Ca2+ imaging

(A) Required materials for making customized cell chambers.

(B–G) The steps of making customized chambers. The small tubes are made by cutting off the lid and bottom half of 0.5 mL Eppendorf tubes using a razor blade. The grease is used for attaching tubes on coverslips. The paint brush is used for painting grease on the bottom side (not the cut side) of tubes.

(H) Example of customized cell chambers. Tubes with grease are put at the center of the coverslip. By gentle pressing the top of tubes, tubes are attached to the coverslips with a good seal.
