Feeding assay design. After pregnant females gave birth and pups were weaned after 3 weeks, the rats were separated into two diet groups (HF and LC diet), in which diet groups were subdivided into four treatment groups (vehicle control, BB, blueberry extract; LJ, L. johnsonii N6.2; BB/LJ, blueberry extract + L. johnsonii N6.2).
