Participants Inclusion:
  • Women with breast cancer undergoing either OPS or mastectomy and reconstruction AND the availability of PROMs data


Exclusion:
  • Previous treatment for breast cancer

  • Delayed reconstruction

  • Unavailability of PROMS data

  • Surgery for prophylactic or benign disease

  • Previous breast radiotherapy

Interventions Intervention: Volume displacement and replacement (analysed together), (n = 286) ‐ bilateral therapeutic mammaplasty and a chest wall perforator flaps (LICAP [lateral intercostal artery perforator], LTAP [lateral
thoracic artery perforator] (204) or TDAP [thoracodorsal artery
perforator] (82))
Control: Mastectomy and reconstruction, (n = 281)
