Methods	Retrospective single‐centre and single surgeon cohort Before 2004 Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, GA, USA 34 patients
Participants	Inclusion: Women with breast cancer undergoing breast‐conserving surgery with or without reconstruction All patients were diagnosed and followed postoperatively at the Emory Winship Cancer Center and the Emory Breast Imaging Center All received adjuvant radiotherapy The control group included women without reconstruction during the same time period by the same surgeon
