•Dejour type B or D dysplasia with a supratrochlear spur ≥5 mm •“Jumping” J sign on examination •Symptomatic patellar instability •Planned medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction with knee arthroscopy	Absolute: •Skeletally immature patient with open physes Relative: •Planned definitive trochleoplasty •Short trochlear length •Uncorrected osseous abnormalities (e.g., significant femoral anteversion)
