Figure 2.
Kaplan–Meier survival curves for wake and sleep (stages N1, N2, N3, and REM) for participants with CNS hypersomnia conditions. (A) Survival curves for wake bouts computed using full PSG sleep duration show a decrease in stability of wake for NT1 participants compared to SSC. (B) Survival curves for stage N1 sleep bouts show that NT2 participants have increased survival of stage N1 bouts compared to all other groups. (C) Survival curves of stage N2 sleep bouts show that NT1 participants have decreased survival of stage N2 bouts compared to subjectively sleepy controls and IH participants. IH participants have increased survival of stage N2 compared to subjectively sleepy controls. (D) Survival curves of stage N3 show no significant differences between CNS hypersomnia conditions. (E) Survival curves of REM sleep bouts show that NT1 participants have decreased survival of REM bouts compared to all other groups; p < .05 was considered statistically significant. Colors of symbols indicating significance are associated with colors designating groups (blue/subjectively sleepy controls, red/NT1, yellow/NT2, and purple/IH).
