GST-RanBP1(1-161) is imported into the nucleus. The C-terminal truncation mutant of RanBP1, which lacks the NES, was expressed as a GST fusion protein and injected at a concentration of 1.0 mg/ml into the cytosol of BHK-21 cells, together with FITC-dextran (2.0 mg/ml) as an injection site marker. After 15 min incubation at 37°C, the cells were fixed and stained for GST. A gallery of injected cells is shown.
