Growth curves of the wild type (WT), the Δ3238 mutant, and the complemented strain, C3238. The cells were cultured in PY6; Stanier; PYS; and PY6 with KNO3, K2HPO4, MgSO4, FeCl3, or CaCl2, with 0.4% (w/v) glucose added as the sole carbon source. Cells were grown at 30°C. The measurement was performed in triplicate, and error bars indicate standard error.
