TABLE 2.

Ability of pLac Gy to remove phenolic pollutants in absence and presence of ABTS as a redox mediator. Assay mixture included 1 µM pLac Gy , 1 mM ABTS, 50 µM CuCl2, 0.5 mM phenolic compound in 0.04 M Britton-Robinson buffer (pH 5.0). The mixture was incubated overnight at 60°C with shaking at 500 rpm. All experiments were conducted in triplicates and uncertainties represent standard deviations.
