The biofilm thicknesses of NWAF26 and its derivations were determined by crystal violet staining (A,B) and CLSM (C). The crystal violet staining was conducted by cultivating the S. scirui in 96-well plates at 37°C to the stationary phase, and staining with 0.5% crystal violet after being washed. The biofilm quantitation was determined by solubilizing the stained biofilms with 30% glacial acetic acid, and quantitated by measuring the OD600. ***p < 0.001.
