Expression of non-histone proteins HMGA1 and HMGA2 is mediated by IL-33 in U251MG cells. (A) HMGA1 and HMGA2 mRNA expression in Scramble-, IL33KD-, MOCK, and IL33oe-U251MG cells was examined by qPCR analysis. The results are presented as mean ± SEM from five cell passages (n = 5). **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001 vs. Scramble or MOCK. (B) Nuclear proteins and cytosolic proteins were isolated from Scramble- and IL33KD-U251MG cells, as well as MOCK- and IL33oe-U251MG cells. Representative images of the Western Blot analysis show the nuclear levels of HMGA1, HMGA2, and Lamin A/C in the transfectants. The nuclear levels of HMGA1 and HMGA2 proteins were normalized by the level of Lamin A/C (as a loading control).
