Effect of β2-adrenergic receptor inhibition on SE-induced increase in muscle blood flow. Urethane-anesthetized rats intravenously received butoxamine hydrochloride (0.3 mg/0.1 ml in saline) or physiological saline 30 min before gastric administration of vehicle or SE (20 mg/kg). Muscle blood flow (ml/min/100 g of tissue) was measured for 60 min. Values are presented as the mean ± SEM (n=5). Comparison between groups was performed by repeated measures ANOVA. Then the values at 60 min after administration were statistically analyzed by the Tukey’s post hoc test. * p<0.05.
