Growth of the A. baumannii ATCC 19606 ΔcsrA mutant on solid medium with different carbon and energy sources. A. baumannii ATCC 19606 wild type cells and ATCC 19606 ΔcsrA mutant cells were grown for 8 h in mineral medium with succinate as the carbon and energy source. Strains were centrifuged, washed twice with saline (0.9% NaCl), and adjusted with saline to an OD₆₀₀ of 1. Serial dilutions from the cell suspensions (5 μl) were dropped onto the solid medium plates with the indicated carbon and energy sources. Growth was monitored after 8 h, 16 h, and 24 h of incubation at 37°C.
