Common cytokine modifications. Cytokines are low molecular weight proteins and can be attached to other proteins or molecules easily. Here we describe cytokines attached to collagen-binding proteins via glycineserine linkers (commonly), fused to one or more chains of a monoclonal antibody, protected within charged molecules, pegylated, or administered as mRNA from within lipid nanoparticles.
