DNA degradations were carried out by AsCap5 and LlCap5 in the presence of increasing concentrations of second messengers (10-fold increase with each step). Three different cGAMP were tested to activate Cap5 for DNA degradation. They are 3′,2′-cGAMP (a, b), 3′,3′-cGAMP (c, d), and 2′,3′-cGAMP (e, f).
