Relationship between liver stiffness measurement (LSM) by transient elastography and platelet counts and probability of clinically significant portal hypertension as defined by hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) ≥ 10 mmHg conditional on the body mass index (BMI) level. Diagonal lines (and numbers) depict levels of probability of HVPG ≥ 10 mmHg. Higher LSM and lower platelet counts were consistently associated with a higher probability of HVPG ≥ 10 mmHg irrespective of BMI.
