Levels of TNF-α, IL-6, and IFN-γ in the blood of mice. All mice were from three groups: phage (vB-ApyS-JF1) treatment group (mice were injected with T. pyogenes BS, and phage JF1 was administered 30 min after challenge in a single dose); PBS treatment group (mice were injected intraperitoneally with T. pyogenes BS, and PBS was administered 30 min after challenge). The normal group without any treatment was used as a control. Three mice from each group were euthanized at each time point. Blood samples were collected from mice of each group 6, 12, 18, and 24 h after challenge. The levels of TNF-α (A), IL-6 (B), and IFN-γ (C) cytokines in the blood were measured. Blood samples from healthy mice were used as controls (normal group). The values represent the means and SDs (n = 3). **P < 0.01.
