Intracellular localization and metal content of primary human epithelial cells from the small airways exposed to welding particles. The cells were exposed to 50 µg/mL of stainless steel or mild steel particles for 24 h. (A) The cellular uptake and intracellular localization of the particles was evaluated by TEM.
