miR-296-5p restrains ox-LDL-induced oxidative stress injury in HUVECs through S100A4. After the transfection with the miR-296-5p antagomir or sh-S100A4, HUVECs were treated with ox-LDL (40 µg/mL) for 48 h. (a) S100A4 protein was detected in HUVECs after the indicated treatment. (b) Cell viability was detected by a Cell Counting Kit-8 assay. (c) Cell apoptosis was evaluated using flow cytometry. (d–e) ROS levels were detected by DCFH-DA staining and then quantized by flow cytometry. (f–g) The generation of MDA and SOD was detected by ELISA. **P < 0.01 vs. Blank; &P < 0.05, &&P < 0.01 vs. ox-LDL+antagomir-NC+sh-NC; #P < 0.05, ##P < 0.01 vs. ox-LDL+antagomir+sh-NC.
