Experimental model of incomplete tumor resection. (a) (Left to right) Panc02 flank tumors were allowed to grow to 1 cm in diameter prior to incomplete resection, leaving a 1 mm rim of tumor on the muscle bed (arrow). A hyaluronic acid hydrogel disc (inset) was implanted adjacent to the tumor bed and the wound closed with sutures and clips.
