Antibodies used in the study: interleukin 1 beta (IL-1β), interleukin 6 (IL-6), interleukin 17 (IL-17), interferon gamma (IFN-γ), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), fractalkine (CX3CL1), tumour necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), interleukin 4 (IL-4), and interleukin 10 (IL-10); also included are the antibodies used to identify microglial cells (Iba-1), axons (NF-200 KDa), and macroglia (GFAP).
