The structure of HLA-G gene and its encoding isoforms generated by alternative splicing mRNAs. Novel HLA-G isoforms reported by Tronik-Le Roux D et al. (20) (pin). Membrane-bound isoforms included HLA-G1L with a 5’-extended end of five additional amino acids (MKTPR), the lacking α1 domains and the only α3 domains, while the soluble isoforms skipping exon 5 and 6.
