The participants were instructed to learn the mean of a reward distribution. First a fixation cross was presented after which the participants were informed about the standard deviation (which indicated the precision) of the reward distribution. Subsequently the participants were asked to make a prediction regarding the upcoming reward, which was presented to the participant in combination with the prediction error (in yellow) after an anticipation period.
