Local LFP Varies Slightly Within Region. (A) Dual implants
simultaneously targeted the OFC and dS within each subject. A cerebellar ground
screw globally referenced the signals. Additionally, regionally a single
electrode was used to control for volume conduction between OFC and dS, which
focuses results to local regional activity. (B) Each electrode
within the OFC (top) and DS (bottom) of control mice had a slightly varying, but
similar, ITPC Theta (4–8 Hz) spectrogram to correct choice, indicating
little variance in LFP signal over the 0.45 mm span of the region the electrode
covers. (C) Similarly, while each electrode within
GluN2BNull mice varied slightly within region (OFC top, dS
bottom), ITPC within the span of the region had little variance.
