Subcellular localization of different versions of CRAM in bloodstream-form cell lines. Trypanosomes were first incubated with rabbit-derived anti-CRAM antibody followed by reaction with FITC-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG. Then cells were stained with DAPI at a concentration of 0.1 μg/ml for 1 min. The images were analyzed by a confocal microscope. Different colors, arranged in the order blue-green-yellow-red-white, indicate the relative intensity of fluorescence (white, highest intensity; blue, lowest intensity).
