Cytotoxicity of metal nanoparticles on BEAS-2B cells. 5 × 103 cells per well were seeded in 96-well plates. After overnight culture, cells were treated with different concentration of metal nanoparticles for 24 h. Cells without metal nanoparticle treatment were used as the control. Cytotoxicity was determined by MTS assay (Promega) and confirmed by alamarBlue™ assay (Invitrogen). Data are shown as mean ± SEM (n = 5 ~ 6). *, p < 0.05 vs. control
