The same glucose concentrations were supplemented to YNB as reference broth. The highest glycerol and ethanol levels were reported. All experiments were conducted in triplicate (± SD). YE/G, ethanol yield per gram of consumed glucose calculated on the highest ethanol production and % of theoretical maximum indicated in brackets; Q, volumetric productivity at the highest ethanol production.
