Output power as power in the bucket (aperture diameter 30 mm) as function of the input power. In (a), the mean value of the complete laser-on-time of three pulse trains (each 5 pulses of 0.1 s duration) is shown. Only for the larger spot diameters a linear behaviour is observed. In (b), only the power in the bucket at the beginning of the first pulse is plotted. Here, the power in the bucket is still a linear function with the input power for the smallest spot diameter. The green and orange lines are guide to the eyes for two different absorption coefficients.
