The absence of CXCL2 or CXCL10 did not affect Bacillus internalization by mouse primary neutrophils. Primary neutrophils from C57BL/6J, CXCL2−/−, and CXCL10−/− mice were incubated with B. cereus strain ATCC 14579 for 90 minutes. Cells were then treated with gentamicin for 60 minutes to kill external bacteria. Internalization of bacteria by CXCL2−/− and CXCL10−/− neutrophils was not significantly different from that of C57BL/6J neutrophils.
