Ideal life expectancy is predicted by covariates, fear of death and fear of diseases, as well as their interaction term in a stepwise procedure. Standardized regression weights β, unstandardized regression weights B, as well as their standard errors SE(B) are depicted for the final model including all predictor variables. ∆R2 and related F-tests are depicted for the single steps. In exploratory analyses neither self-rated health nor the count of diagnoses moderated the relationship between fear of diseases and ideal life expectancy
