Log KPDMS/AIR as a function of 1 / T [K] for a series of n-alkylbenzenes. IGC (Eq. 3) was conducted at 50 °C, 75 °C, 100 °C, 150 °C, and 200 °C. Nine measurements are shown at each temperature. IGC was combined with literature Ix values (Eq. 4 and Eq. 3) at 60 °C, 80 °C, 100 °C, 120 °C, 140 °C, 160 °C, and 180 °C. Only the regression lines are shown. Average values reported by Kloskowski et al. include columns with 1 μm, 5 μm, and 18 μm thick stationary phases.20 Abbreviations: B = benzene; T = toluene; EB = ethylbenzene, PB = propylbenzene; BB = butylbenzene.
