Detection of Trichodesmium species across the Tara Oceans stations. The world map describes stations in which we detected 1) only T. erythraeum and/or T. thiebautii (diazotrophic species), 2) only Ca. T. miru and/or Ca. T. nobis (putative nondiazotrophic species), or 3) species from both groups. This survey covers all size fractions >0.2 μm.
