Figure S4. Neuroplastin and PMCA2 expressions in the outer hair cells (OHCs) are unaltered in the juvenile cochlea and in the low-frequency region of the adult cochlea in Manffl/fl;Pax2-Cre mice B6 mice.

Figure S4.

(A, A′, A″, B, B″) At P15, neuroplastin/PMCA2/phalloidin staining shows co-localization of neuroplastin and PMCA2 in the OHC hair bundles in the 45-kHz cochlear region in both control and cKO mice. (C, C′, C″, D, D′, D’’) This co-localization is also seen in the 16-kHz OHC hair bundles in both genotypes at P35. The more cohesive bundles in the control specimen appear bright due to the more compact spatial arrangement of stereocilia as compared to the splayed stereocilia of the mutant specimen. Abbreviations: B6, C57BL/6J strain; cKO, conditional knock out; Ctrl, control; OHC, outer hair cell; PMCA2, plasma membrane Ca2+ ATPase 2. Scale-bar: (A’’) 5 μm A-B’’; (C’’) 6 μm C-D’’.
