Effect of LOE and losartan treatments on the atherosclerotic plaque areas of aortic sections obtained from apoE^−/− mice. LOE treatment significantly reduced the extent of aortic plaque, whereas losartan failed to reduce the area of atherosclerotic lesion in western diet-fed apoE^−/− mice.
